Disciples In Mission, Every Member

Our Mission: To be a community of Jesus followers who lead others to follow Jesus.
Our Vision Statement: HRUMC continues to be a church that shares the good news of Jesus Christ to all people in our community and the world, through the Word, deeds, and mission. We envision a church that seeks to be a lighthouse shining on the hill of Park and Ridge Ave. saying that all are welcome to come home and belong as children of God

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:33-35

Gathering for worship feeds the soul and inspires us to move through the week ahead with hope and renewed energy. All are welcome.

A Covenant Prayer in the Wesleyan Tradition

(Contemporary Version)

I am no longer my own, but yours.

Put me to what you will, place me with whom you will.

Put me to doing, put me to suffering.

Let me be put to work for you or set aside for you, Praised for you or criticized for you.

Let me be full, let me be empty.

Let me have all things, let me have nothing.

I freely and fully surrender all things to your glory and service.

And now, O wonderful and holy God, Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer,

you are mine, and I am yours.

So be it.

And the covenant which I have made on earth,

Let it also be made in heaven. Amen.
